Programs for Children and Youth
Our Children Learn About God and Jesus
Our Children and Youth are an important part of our church mission to share God’s Love. In a safe and nurturing environment, we strive to help them learn about the Bible and Jesus’ love, to develop friendships with other children, and to learn to understand and choose to participate in our church Vision, Identity and Mission Statement.
Your Child is invited to Learn about God’s love and Jesus in our Church School Program.

CHURCH SCHOOL
Your Child is invited to Learn God and Jesus in our Church School Program
EGCC has a Church School program for our children aged Pre-School through 6th grade which meets weekly from September to June. The program is age specific and includes Godly Play and other curricula taught by teachers who are assisted by parents and teenagers as shepherds. The children’s program also includes shared music and fellowship time together.
Most Sundays, children begin in worship with their family and participate in a Time with Children presentation which delivers a message for the children (and adults) usually with the assistance of puppetry.
TIME WITH CHILDREN
Our Sunday Worship Welcomes our Children Every Week
A special time in Worship includes our children. We welcome them at the beginning of worship service to share a “Time with the Children” message. They share their energy on special days when they lead us in the celebration of the Christmas or Palm Sunday stories with pageants and parades or through music and colorful streamers.

YOUTH PROGRAMS
For Youth 7th Grade and Older
Our youth, in partnership with the Granby Congregational Church, UCC, are invited to participate in:
SERVICE PROJECTS
Children’s & Youth Service Projects
During the school year, the children participate in service projects in which they can collectively choose from a number of possibilities. The projects have taken many different forms including fundraising to support a Monkey Bridge over a major African highway so the monkeys can safely cross the highway, fundraising for a local food pantry, and others.
We recently had a 3rd grader teach us all how to care for others.
“Hello from the Missions and Outreach Ministry! We would like to take this opportunity to send a shout-out to a very special church member who saw an opportunity and put her whole self into it. Mia took the Reverse Advent Calendar that was posted during the Holiday Season and built a food donation drop-off center right in her own neighborhood.” Thank you, Mia!!
