Get to Know Our Wonderful Staff

Rev. Dr. Sandra Fischer
Sandra serves as the Designated Term Minister at East Granby Congregational Church, UCC. Sandra has a deep commitment to exploring the intersection of faith and intellect. She believes that in order to have an authentic journey as a follower of the Way of Jesus, we must bring our whole selves to the experience. Sandra welcomes your questions and curiosity about the Christian path during this time of change in the American religious landscape.
Sandra is a native of Wisconsin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, a Juris Doctor from the Washington & Lee University School of Law, a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry from Hartford International University for Religion and Peace (formerly Hartford Seminary). Sandra was ordained into ministry in the United Church of Christ in 2012, and prior to ministering at EGCC served the South Congregational Church (UCC) in Granby, CT for 11 years.
Sandra and her husband, William Madsen, enjoy hiking, biking, playing cribbage and spending time with their far-flung family. Sandra loves weaving, quilting, singing and gardening. She invites you to join her for a cup of tea in her office to explore the joys and complexities of life.

Juliana Hall, Music Director & Organist
Juliana Hall (Juli) has enjoyed a colorful and varied career, first as a pianist growing up in southern Ohio. After college in Cincinnati and Louisville she went to New York City, where she studied piano, sang in a large church choir, and worked as an usher at Carnegie Hall. Later, she earned a Master’s degree in Music Composition from the Yale School of Music, completed her formal composition studies in Minneapolis with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Dominick Argento, and received a Guggenheim Fellowship.
As a composer, her works have been performed by over 150 musicians in 25 countries on 6 continents, recorded on CD, and broadcast worldwide on the BBC, NPR, and other radio networks. Juli has played at a wide variety of churches around Connecticut over the past 20 years and more recently she studied organ with Patricia Snyder at the Hartt School of Music. Juli also teaches piano in her home, which she shares with husband David, a cellist. Whenever they can, Juli and David enjoy spending time with their son, Sam, who is a graduate of RPI.

Karen Handville, Administrative Assistant
Karen and her husband Rick have two grown daughters who live in CT. She comes to us from South Congregational Church, Granby after running the office for the year before their merger with First Church, Granby.
Prior to that, Karen spent 20 years with Simsbury Community Television, Inc., a nonprofit organization, the last 12 years as the Station Manager. She brings a wide variety of digital skills to the job, from office management to video production & editing.
She is an avid skier, enjoys music, and with her husband administers the video production and streaming for Granby Congregational Church on Sunday mornings.

Erin Lampron, Church School Teacher
Erin Lampron is our Sunday School Teacher at EGCC. Her passion is to teach and help guide children into becoming successful people.
Erin graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Westfield State University. She also minored in psychology. Her husband Aaron is a paraprofessional educator at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts High School in Hadley, MA.
Erin has been trying to see as many different countries as possible and has been lucky enough to visit Mexico, Poland, and Ireland on vacations with family as well as participate in an exchange program in Spain.
