The "Take-Home" Prayer
Dear God, I praise
You and thank You for the gift of Jesus.
It is hard in this season to pay attention to You, to let Your new life
be born in me. There is a strong call to
be too busy, to buy too much, to eat too much, to drink too much, and I know I
can get lost in this. Please help me to
choose You, to discover that I am found.
I seek Your Kingdom, this Way of Jesus, so that You can lead me daily to
deeper and wider dimensions of Your new life.
Help me to seek You first, so that with and in You I can engage and
share in true celebration -- your deep
peace, your shining joy. I thank You for
ways I have experienced You in the past day (take some time to list those ways). And now, like Mary, I seek to “ponder these
things” in my heart, to open myself to You and to listen in Your presence that
I may serve You and share in Your love (take some time to be silent, open to
the wonder of God’s love for You revealed in the gift of Jesus). I thank You.
