The "Take-Home" Prayer
Dear
God, thank you for the invitation to be part of your Kingdom, to live into the
joyful, abundant life for which You have made me. I confess I do not always do this, I have not
steadfastly walked in the Way of Jesus, I do not always open to Your
Spirit. I have tried to build my life my
way by my power. Please assure me of
your forgiveness, and help me this day to receive anew Your presence, power,
and direction that I will live more fully in You and share Your joy, peace,
abundance, and healing with those around me. Help me to be the gift You have
made me to be, to give my whole self in service to Your Kingdom, love, and
life. (Leave some time for silence, to
just be in God’s presence and receive whatever God has for you, to hear ways
God is calling you to share yourself).
Thank You, Lord, for all Your good gifts. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
