The "Take-Home" Prayer

Dear God, I praise You, offering myself to You for Your purpose for me this day.  I thank You for the gift and blessings in my life this day (take some time and name those to God).  I thank You for Jesus who proclaims Your Kingdom and shows me how to seek You first.  I confess that I struggle with this, because I have learned very well the way of other kingdoms, I let other powers and patterns rule in my life.  I choose to say “no” to those ways, rebuking them, and I turn now to You.  I open my heart, mind, and body to Your Spirit that soothes, heals, restores and leads me. (take some time to be silent, open to God’s presence and leading.  Listen for ways God is calling you to move, to act, to understand yourself that will form and lead you in God’s Spirit--  15 minutes or so).  I thank You.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
