The "Take-Home" Prayer
Dear
God, I praise You and thank You for the gift of Jesus. I thank you that You show us that You want to
make us whole, to live into the fullness of life, and to be Your gifts of life
in the world. I thank You that Jesus
reveals that You want to know what it is that we want -- that You say to us, “What do you want me to
do for you?” I offer to You now my
response to that loving question (take some time to list what you are wanting -
- healing, help, hope. Do not worry at
this moment if it is what God wants for you or not). God, this is what I want, help me to know if
there are things that You want for me that are even better (take some time to be silent, open to the
wonder of God’s love for You revealed in the gift of Jesus. Listen for ways God is speaking to you--15
minutes or so). God, I want to see
-- I want to see where I hurt and hurt
others. I want to see how I can move and
live in Your healing, and I can embody Your healing to others. I thank You for Your light. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
