The "Take-Home" Prayer
Dear
God, I praise You and thank You for the gift of this day and the opportunity to
live in communion and connection with You and Your other beloved sons and
daughters. I name that I have learned
ways of divorce, separation, disconnection.
I am sorry for the pain this causes for me and those around me. I choose today to follow Jesus, to walk with
Him and with others in this Body of Christ.
Help me in the day ahead to talk to You and listen for You. Help me to let others be reminders of Your
love, and that I choose to be a reminder of Your love for others. I choose now to soak in Your presence and
love, to let You heal and mend and make me whole (take some time to be silent
in the presence of God and listen for ways God is calling you to move, to act,
to understand yourself that will renew, heal, and sustain you --
15 minutes or so). I thank You
God for loving me so passionately that You
call me back to You even when I have wandered far. Help me to call embody Your loving Way and
life and healing for others today. In Jesus’ name. Amen
